Asian water buffalo are found in India, Nepal and Thailand. They can grow to over 2000 pounds. Water buffalo are helpful in farming because they are able to work in wet muddy conditions that aren't ideal for horses or donkeys.
Water buffalo are also used for riding, for their meat and for milk. In fact, water buffalo's milk is used to produce the best mozzarella cheese. They have richer, creamier milk than regular dairy cows do. |
