Reptiles

"I'm originally from Florida, and I am amazed to have seen an alligator without a banded jaw! The opportunity to touch and interact with (the reptiles) and learn from the show was an incredible experience made more wonderful by the reasonable prices for everything!"
– Cathey Fitzgerald, Lancaster, Pa.

The new Reptiles and Exotics Facility opened June 2011 and has become a real crowd-pleaser. The large, custom-designed habitats give you a glimpse into the dwellings of these rare and exotic creatures while educational presentations and an opportunity to touch a live alligator or a snake enlightens you.

You may enjoy simply walking thru or take a seat for one of several shows given throughout the day. The facility opens at 11:30 a.m. each day with the exception of weekdays in May when it opens to the public at 2 p.m. There are four show times scheduled for the weekdays and five on the weekends. The show schedule is as follows: Mon. - Fri. - 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 4:00p.m..; and Sat. - Sun. - 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 and 5:00 p.m.

Animals on display may vary daily, but will usually include snakes, lizards, amphibians, large tortoises, marmosets, tamarins, tropical birds, a sloth, lemurs and a few surprises.

*Time Tip: approx. 40 minutes needed to see a show and view exhibits.
