The park annually hires for the following positions:

Safari Tour Guide

The Safari Tour Guide will give formal educational presentations to public groups while driving a full-size bus, and will answer all customer inquiries. The position is responsible for the safety of the public on their safari bus, and monitoring and maintaining the condition of their safari bus, field, and animals. The ideal candidates will be able to safely drive a full-size bus, make frequent independent judgments, and professionally speak to large public groups; and must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.

Assistant Concession Manager

The Assistant Concession Manager is responsible for the supervision and training of all concession employees. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, positive individual; will be able to lead the entire Lake Tobias team in delivering excellent customer service; and will have 2 years of experience in the Customer Service or Retail industry or a degree in Management or related field.

Food Services Supervisor

The Food Services Supervisor is responsible for training and overseeing all employees in their department (either Grille & Grub or Chill Zone). The supervisor will ensure that the department processes all orders efficiently, safely, and professionally, while creating a positive service experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, positive individual; will be able to lead the kitchen team in delivering excellent food and customer service; and will have 2 years of experience in the food services industry or a degree in Culinary Arts or Restaurant Management.

First Aid Attendant

The First Aid Attendant performs first aid procedures on visitors and employees requiring first aid in the park, maintains records in accordance with park and government requirements, and stocks first aid supplies. The First Aid Attendant will perform security checks throughout the day to ensure the safety of all visitors and employees. The ideal candidates will be capable of providing excellent first aid care, are able to respond quickly to emergencies, and are at least 18 years of age with a current 1st Aid/CPR certification.

Admissions/Concession Employee

The Admissions Employee is the first point of contact for all customers entering the park, and will serve all customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. The Admissions Employee works in the concession stand when not at admissions. The ideal candidates will be positive individuals with working mathematics knowledge, who are able to provide excellent customer service, and are able to work in all weather conditions.

Parking/Concession Employee

The Parking/Concession Employee is responsible for greeting, serving, and checking out all concession customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner, and is responsible for keeping park grounds clean and presentable. The Parking/Concession Employee will direct cars when not in the refreshment stand. The ideal candidates will be positive individuals who are able to provide excellent customer service, and are able to work in all weather conditions.

Chill Zone Employee

The Chill Zone/Parking Employee is responsible for serving all customers and preparing all food in the Chill Zone. The employee will process all orders efficiently, pleasantly, and safely, while creating a positive experience for all customers. The employee will be directing cars when not in the Chill Zone. The ideal candidates will be task-oriented, positive individuals; able to provide excellent food- and customer service; and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Restaurant Employee

The Restaurant Employee is responsible for serving all customers and preparing all food in the Grille & Grub. The employee will process all orders efficiently, pleasantly, and safely, while creating a positive experience for all customers. The ideal candidates will be task-oriented, positive individuals; able to provide excellent food- and customer service; and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Petting Zoo Employee

The Petting Zoo Employee is responsible for greeting and serving all Petting Zoo customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. The Petting Zoo Employee will encourage visitors to interact with the animals, and will sell animal food to visitors. The employee will also provide limited animal care, including feeding, watering, and brushing the animals. The ideal candidates will be positive individuals with working mathematics knowledge, good communications skills, and a passion for working with animals and people.

Gift Shop Employee

The Gift Shop Employee is responsible for greeting and serving all Gift Shop Customers. The Gift Shop Employee will serve and checkout all customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner, and is responsible for keeping the Gift Shop stocked, clean, and presentable. The ideal candidates will be positive individuals with working mathematics knowledge, and able to provide excellent customer service.

Custodial Employee

The Custodial Employee is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of park grounds, restrooms, and waste facilities. The Custodian will maintain the functionality and cleanliness of park grounds and restrooms. The ideal candidates will be able to work independently, and in all weather conditions; and must have a valid driver’s license.

Landscape Gardener

The Landscape Gardener is responsible for landscape maintenance including preparing grounds for planting, designing and implementing park landscape projects, mulching, maintaining landscape, weeding, and fall cleanup. The ideal candidates will be able to work independently, and in all weather conditions, and will be able to prioritize tasks.
