Due to CDC requirements, some adjustments have been made to account for the COVID-19 pandemic, but we hope that everyone has an enjoyable and safe summer.
The biggest change for this year is our safari tour which is now a Drive-thru Safari with your own vehicle. (Our safari tour buses are not running this year.) Click here for more info on the drive-thru safari. Another major change is our hours. This year we are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Zoo Exhibits and concession areas of the park are open. To gain admission to these areas, you will be directed to a separate entrance and pay as you enter
The Reptile & Exotics Facility is open with limited capacity and masks are required to enter. Mask are available for sale at the Reptile building if needed. The J.R. Tobias Museum and Education Center will not be opening until further notice.
The Gift Shop is open with limited capacity and masks required. However, if you prefer, you may also order from our online store and pick up your order at our Curb-Side Pickup during your visit.
PA now has a government order stating that masks are Required in all Public Places. At Lake Tobias Wildlife Park, we strongly encourage social distancing with signage, line markers, and continual public announcement reminders. The new order emphasizes the need to wear a mask, even outdoors, if you are unable to properly distance yourself from others. With our 50 + acres of open-air, zoo exhibits, we believe acceptable social distancing is possible. We anticipate our Park Visitors will follow the new order by being patient and adhering to distancing markers around the park, taking turns at exhibits, and being mindful of others around you. If maintaining social distancing concerns you, we encourage you to wear a mask in all areas of our park. (Masks are required in the Reptiles & Exotics facility and the Gift Shop.) At Lake Tobias, it is important to us that all of our park visitors feel safe and comfortable when visiting our park. Guidelines in the new order that pertain to our park’s zoo exhibit areas, Reptiles & Exotics facility, Gift Shop, and golf cart transport services are as follow:
According to the order, people must wear masks if they are:
• Outdoors and unable to consistently maintain a distance of 6 feet from individuals who are not members of their household.
• In any indoor location where members of the public are generally permitted.
• Waiting for, riding on, driving or operating public transportation or paratransit or while in a taxi, private car service or ride-sharing vehicle.
