The Tour Guide gives formal educational presentations to public groups while driving a full-size bus, and answers all customer inquiries. The position is responsible for the safety of park animals and safari passengers, and monitoring and maintaining the condition of their safari bus, field, and animals. The ideal candidates will be able to safely drive a full-size bus, make frequent independent judgments, and professionally speak to large public groups; and must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license. This position is seasonal (April-November) and part-time.
The Reptile Keeper gives formal public presentations and assists in caring for specified reptile building animals. The Keeper is also responsible for assisting in maintaining reptile building facilities and animal exhibits. The ideal candidate will be able to professionally speak to large public groups, provide excellent customer service, and make frequent independent judgments. Seeking candidates with 2 years of experience working in a zoo or related establishment or who are enrolled in a 4-year college degree program related directly to animals. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Petting Zoo Handler is responsible for greeting and serving all Petting Zoo customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. The Handler will encourage visitors to interact with the animals while enforcing Petting Zoo rules, and will sell animal food to visitors. The employee will also provide limited animal care, including feeding, watering, and brushing the animals. The ideal candidates will be positive individuals with basic mathematics skills, good communications skills, and a passion for working with animals and people. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Giraffe Feeding Attendant is responsible for greeting and accommodating all giraffe feeding stand customers. The employee will serve all customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner, will monitor and enforce proper feeding of the giraffes, and will give brief informal talks to customers about the giraffes. Ideal candidates will be able to professionally speak to the public, will be able to work independently, and will have a positive attitude. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Museum Employee will serve all customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner, and is responsible for keeping all Museum exhibits - both animal and educational - and park grounds clean and presentable. Ideal candidates will be able to professionally speak to the public, will be able to work independently, and will have a positive attitude. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Assistant Concession Manager is responsible for the supervision of all concession employees. The assistant manager will ensure that the department processes all orders efficiently, safely, and professionally, while creating a positive service experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, positive individual; will be able to lead the concession staff in delivering excellent customer service; and will have 2 years of experience in the Customer Service or Retail industry or a degree in Management or related field. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Food Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all employees in their department. The supervisor will ensure that the department fills all food orders efficiently, safely, and professionally, while creating a positive service experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, positive individual; will be able to lead the kitchen team in delivering excellent food and customer service; and will have 2 years of experience in the food services industry or a degree in Culinary Arts or Restaurant Management. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Food Services Employee serves all customers and prepares all food at various food establishments at the park. The employee will fill all food orders efficiently, accurately, and safely, while creating a positive experience for all customers. The ideal candidates will be task-oriented, positive individuals; able to provide excellent food- and customer service; and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Admissions Employee serves as the first point of contact for all customers entering the park, and will assist all customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. The Admissions Employee sells tickets to customers upon entry to park. The employee works in the concession stand when not at admissions. The ideal candidates will be positive individuals with working mathematics knowledge, who are able to provide excellent customer service, and are able to work in all weather conditions. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Parker is responsible for directing customer vehicles entering the park. These positions will greet and serve customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. These employees will serve in the refreshment stand when not parking. The ideal candidates will be positive individuals who are able to provide excellent customer service, and are able to work in all weather conditions. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Gift Shop Employee is responsible for greeting and serving all Gift Shop Customers. The employee will serve and assist all customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner, and is responsible for keeping the Gift Shop stocked, clean, and presentable. The ideal candidates will be positive individuals with working mathematics knowledge, and able to provide excellent customer service. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The First Aid Attendant performs first aid procedures on visitors and employees requiring first aid in the park, maintains records in accordance with park and government requirements, and stocks first aid supplies. The employee will perform security checks throughout the day to ensure the safety of all visitors and employees, and will respond to and handle all security calls. The ideal candidates will be capable of providing excellent first aid care, are able to respond quickly to emergencies and security situations, and are at least 18 years of age with a current 1st Aid/CPR certification. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Custodial Employee assists with the maintenance of park grounds, restrooms, and waste facilities. This position will maintain the functionality and cleanliness of park grounds and restrooms. The ideal candidates will be able to work independently and in all weather conditions, and will have a valid driver’s license. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
The Landscaper is responsible for landscape maintenance including preparing grounds for planting, implementing park landscape projects, watering, mulching, maintaining landscape, weeding, and fall cleanup. The ideal candidates will be able to work independently and in all weather conditions, and will be able to prioritize tasks. This position is seasonal (May-October) and part-time.
